Our Staff: Leaders in Rehabilitation Medicine
Dr. Arlen I. Lichter is the founding director of RehabHealth. Dr. Lichter is an expert in non-narcotic pain management, physical rehabilitation, disability management, and electrodiagnostic testing (specialized nerve and muscle testing) to pinpoint the source of injury and pain. He attended the University of Kentucky School of Medicine, and did post-graduate medical training at the University of CT School of Medicine. He performed his specialty residency training, and was chief resident in physical medicine and rehabilitation, at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, N.Y. During his career Dr. Lichter has been instrumental in establishing rehabilitation programs in some of Connecticut’s finest hospitals and rehabilitation facilities.
Dr. Lichter has the distinction of being one of only 7 physicians in the entire State of Connecticut, and the only physician in Greater Waterbury, with Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr. Lichter is married with 3 children, and has volunteered his time as a board of director of several CT medical professional and local non-profit organizations.
Dr. Lichter was named one of CT Magazines “Top Docs” for 2010 and 2011.
